Kingdoms Rise and Fall
Is it Our Turn Already?
Most civilizations in recorded history met their end from internal problems. Several years ago, The Buddha Consciousness, in a private session (see buddha-consciousness.org), predicted that China was a strong contender for global domination when the U.S. faded into the background. Today, we see China gradually easing into many parts of the globe and even making peace with Russia in the financial arena, despite their over 200-year contest over Mongolia.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration, through a combination of ignorance and ineptitude, is steadily weakening the U.S. from within and appearing on the international stage as the historical “ugly American” of many decades ago, alienating both friend and foe.
In an article by Dahr Jamail, on Monday, September 11, 2017, entitled “9/11: The Beginning of the End of the US Empire Project,” this hard-hitting investigative reporter concludes his piece with “Clearly, there is no merit in preserving the US empire. The primary question we are left with, then, is how many more people will die as this empire fights a losing battle to maintain its dominance?”
By this quote, I’m not forecasting such a loss, but as a nation we have to wake up and realize what is happening to us from within!

Trump is making Americans see the U.S. the way the rest of the world already did
Trump is making Americans see the U.S. the way the rest of the world already did: Read the article by Suzy Hansen, author of “Notes on a Foreign Country: An American Abroad in a Post-American World.” The Pakistani novelist Kamila Shamsie once observed that there are “two Americas” — one at home and one abroad. The first is the America of Hollywood, work-in-progress democracy, civil rights movements and Ellis Island. The second is the America of coups and occupations, military dictators and CIA plots, economic meddling and contempt for foreign cultures. The rest of the world knows both Americas. But as Shamsie has written, Americans don’t seem aware of the second one at all.
Why do Evangelicals Worship Trump?
Why do white right-wing Christian evangelicals support Donald Trump? The answer is quite simple. Their agenda is his agenda. Trump and the Republican Party are working to take away women’s reproductive rights, and to extending special “conscience” protections to “Christians” who feel that their faith should somehow supersede the law. They view the poor, the disabled, and others as “useless eaters,” and are working to protect white privilege and the power of white right-wing Christians in all areas of American life. Trump is also a petit-fascist and an authoritarian. This vision of the world is embraced in every way by right-wing Christians.
What is the Meaning of America?
When Trump and his followers refer to “America,” what do they mean? Some see a country of white English-speaking Christians. Others want a land inhabited by self-seeking individuals free to accumulate as much money and power as possible, who pay taxes only to protect their assets from criminals and foreign aggressors…
