The Beginning of the End
Is this the beginning of the end already?
Most civilizations in recorded history met their end from internal problems. Several years ago, The Buddha Consciousness (see buddha-consiousness.org), in private sessions, predicted that China was a strong contender for global domination when the U.S. faded into the background. Today, we see China gradually easing into many parts of the globe and even making peace with Russia in the financial arena, despite their over 200-year-long contest over Mongolia.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration, through ignorance and ineptitude, is steadily weakening the U.S. from within. He appears on the international stage as the historical “ugly American” of many decades ago, alienating both friend and foe. As is evident in Dahr Jamail’s piece, “The Beginning of the End of the US Empire Project,” there are signs that the U.S.’ global leadership may be waning.
Jamail: “Another result of these post-9/11 policies has been the decline of the US empire. US power in the world and its days of being the sole superpower were already waning when 9/11 occurred. Today, especially with the administration of President Donald J. Trump, whatever vestiges of the US empire project that are left are being summarily burnt out. Clearly, there is no merit in preserving the US empire.”
With the average lifespan of a civilization being 336 years (ref. “Are We On The Road To Civilisation Collapse?”), today the U.S. is approaching 250 years of age. Not surprisingly, with the governmental decay evident in the tRump administration as well as the “graft in the military” and the “Pentagon’s Massive Accounting Fraud Exposed” as depicted in militarytruth.org, the “decay from within” characteristic is extremely evident. Furthermore, we are now seeing the environmental shift (global warming effects) that has apparently accompanied the fall of past civilizations.
While there is a lot of “buzz” about Earth and Humanity shifting into a higher spiritual dimension, the U.S., as Earth’s ‘leading global nation’ may be mired in a retro/old energy mode, being driven by only about 30% of its total population that resists progressive change. Spiritually, the U.S., despite our imperialistic/aggressive history, has a huge geographical advantage to be the global leader in spiritual development, but can we overcome our internal strife to achieve our destiny?
Let’s explore this vital topic through posts we’ve gathered. We’ve added two new posts, led by an original article, “America’s Purpose,” by Don Chapin, to begin this category and will add more as we find them. In a similar vein, we have posts on related topics in the “Kingdoms Rise and Fall” segment of our Paleoanthropology/Archaeology category.

9/11: The Beginning of the End of the US Empire Project
Any pretense that the US intended to seek justice or increase world stability via its so-called War on Terror has been dramatically overshadowed by increased global resentment toward the US, which has in fact generated more terror attacks around the world. It is precisely this legacy that continues today: ongoing US military violence abroad, increased domestic surveillance and repression at home, and a world more violent and less safe for all.
